Do these simple steps to clean your home in half the time!
1. Have a Cleaning List
Planning is crucial when it comes to productivity and efficiency. It all starts with a system in place, and it isn't challenging to create one. All you have to do is list all the cleaning duties you have to accomplish that day and re-arrange them in the sequence you wish to complete them. For example, a comprehensive cleaning list could look something like this: 1) Do the dishes 2) Deep clean the kitchen 3) Put the laundry in the washer 5) Clean the bathroom 6) Vacuum the floor 7) Mop the floor 8) Put the laundry in the dryer 9) Fold the laundry before bedtime. Now, it is not that you have to complete it all in one go, but this gives you a clear direction and an order that makes the most sense for the cleaning job to be effective! After all, it is a routine.
2. Choose a Partner
Now, if your cleaning duty list is short, then you are perfectly fine with handling everything yourself! However, if you feel like you need a hand, ask for help from your partner or family members. The more people you can delegate to help a specific cleaning duty on the list, the faster you will get through it all! Now, it is important to consider the helper's preference on the cleaning duty, they might particularly dislike a cleaning duty, and that will lengthen the time it takes to complete the job. Learn to delegate the job wisely.
3. Keep Cleaning Essentials Handy
Having all the tools and cleaning products handy when you need them is key to cleaning in half the time! Effective tools can help cut your cleaning time in half or even less. It is important to understand hat not every tool are created equal, some are best for cleaning stains, mildew, and burned messes, such as our Cordless Power Scrubber, and some are created for sweeping dust and dirt from hard to reach surfaces, such as our Microfiber Duster. Pick the right tool for the right job, and you will enjoy the benefits and claim back your precious time!
4. Maintenance is Key
Most people overlook the importance of maintenance at home. They will make the house squeaky clean, only to have it go back to "normal" after 2-3 days, not to imagine what it will look like in a week's time. Our advice is that you keep maintenance in mind on a daily basis. It doesn't take long or even much effort at all. The little things you do matter, and it will save you so much time later on! For example, take out the trash every day, clean the 2-3 bowls that you used after the meal, clean the kitchen counter after the meal and use a handy sweeper or hand-held vacuum so you can pick up the dirt once in a while. You will realize the benefit in a week's time and notice that there isn't nearly as much you need to do as you think!
5. Enjoy the Process
We all know that it is hard to start, let alone stick to the process of doing something if you hate what you do! Why not enjoy it? After all, who doesn't love to live or work in a clean and beautiful environment? We all love the moment when our kids or partners praise us for the nice job that we have done to keep the house squeaky clean! Our customers have reported that having the right tools that do the job has made them enjoy the cleaning process much more. Think about it as a time to be alone, if it helps, put some music, Podcast or your favorite Audiobook on to make t he process more enjoyable.
